My How Time Goes By!

This is the second blog I've added on this re-launched site, and it is now more than a week past a year since my last blog post!

I'm not keeping up too well.

The primary evidence of that is that the website (as of today 1-09-24) has not been publically opened. Of course when you read this, that will have changed. We'll see if things go better from here on out or not.

So what happened in the past year around here? First of the year back in February of 2023… the prices of my artwork went up… and sales went down. I sold a couple of pieces in January and then nothing for the rest of the year. Well thats disappointing!

I had heard that if you want to be succesful you need to be bold on social media. I was already on facebook (829 friends, 1659 followers), and that had brought a number of unexpected sales. I liked that! So I thought, how about Instagram? Everybody had been talking about IG. While there, I had gotten up to about 300 followers (without buying them - you IG artists will know what i mean), but besides a few compliments, there were no sales, although there were plenty of people wanting to buy NFG's. I never got on that train, and after about half a year, I dropped off of IG.

As to Facebook I got hacked by someone in Hanoi, Vietnam. I was completely locked out for four months and Facebook authorities seemed helpless to restore my page back to me. Finally after many attempts and then giving up, I was actually able to gain access to my Facebook page again. A very distressing experience.
