If you could choose, would you prefer living in an era that has less technology or more advancements?

If you could choose when you lived in history past or the future where in time would you like to live your life? 

• Keep in mind that past eras had less technology but life was slower and news traveled slower also.
• Maybe you want to slingshot into the future where there will probably be amazing advancements, although privacy and personal rights might be diminished?
• Or perhaps you might just like to ride it out in the present and keep things like they are? What would you choose and why?
